What's an eSIM?

An eSIM is a SIM card directly integrated into your device by the manufacturer. It does not need to be inserted into your smartphone and can be programmed remotely. The operation of the eSIM is identical to a physical SIM card. Only the installation of the eSIM profile and the activation is slightly different.

What is an eSIM profile?

eSIM profile is a collection of data that ensures your device functionality (in other cases this information is carried by a SIM card). An eSIM profile is digitally saved on your eSIM card.

How many profiles can I have on an eSIM?

You can upload several eSIM profiles on your eSIM – for example one for calls and a second one for data. The specific number of eSIMs you can upload depends on your smartphone. Nevertheless, only one of the uploaded eSIM profiles can be active at any given time.

How do I activate my eSIM?

Once you have purchased your eSIM, you need to scan your QR code on your compatible phone. The activation of the eSIM takes place immediately after the activation request.

Iphone

  • In “Settings” select “Cellular Data”.
  • Select “Add a cellular package”.
  • Scan the QR code and register the eSIM.

  • Select “SIM card manager”.

Please remember to enable data roaming for your eSIM to get the full benefits within all covered countries.

Is the activation immediate?

Yes, your eSIM is activated immediately if you have arrived at your destination already.

If you are still abroad, please install the eSIM via the QR code either once you have arrived at your destination or shortly before the flight as the validity starts counting from the time of installation.

When will I receive my eSIM?

If you cannot scan the provided QR Code, you can install the eSIM by entering details manually. You will be asked to enter the SM-DP+ Address, Activation Code all of which are included in the eSIM confirmation details provided after purchase.

Please follow our guides on how to install an eSIM manually:

When does the validity of my eSIM start to count?

The validity period for eSIM starts from the day it is downloaded & activated on a smartphone.

eSIMs have a validity period after which they can no longer be used.

Can I renew or extend my eSIM data plan?

It depends on the eSIM purchased. Some eSIMs allow you to extend the validity and add more data.

Can I make calls & send SMS with an eSIM?

Some eSIMs allow you to use Data, Calls & SMS. Our eSIMs are clearly marked if they only support Data or have Calls & SMS included.
